ABOUT Chicken Baida Roti. RECIPE

This is a goan street food, can be easily made at home. This is a full meal,with chicken & egg in roti.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For the dough,
  2. Maida 1 cup
  3. Oil 1 tbsp
  4. Water enough to make dough
  5. For chicken filling,
  6. Boneless chicken pieces 5 or 6
  7. Ginger Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  8. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Hilli powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  11. Lime juice 1/4 tsp
  12. Turmeric,2 pinch
  13. Salt,as required.
  14. Egg filling,
  15. Egg 1
  16. Onion 2 tbsp,chopped
  17. Tomato 2 tbsp,chopped
  18. Coriander leaves 3 tbsp,chopped
  19. Green chillies 2,chopped.
  20. Oil, for frying.

Instructions

  1. Make a soft dough with given ingredients. Keep aside for 20 min.
  2. Marinate chicken ,with given ingredients & keep for 10 min.
  3. Take a small kadai,put some oil. Add chicken pieces. Cook till done. Remove when it s dry.
  4. When cool ,make small pieces of the chicken.
  5. Beat egg & add all the given ingredients.
  6. Divide the dough into 2. Roll one into a very big chappathi. Very thinnly. 1st put half of the chicken mixture,& on top pur half of the egg mixte. Spread it in the centre. Fold from four sides.
  7. Heat a pan with enough oil to shallow fry. Very carefully, transfer the roti into the pan,with heated oil. Press well,so that the egg inside gets cooked well.
  8. Repeat the same process ,with the other roti.
  9. Serve hot. As it s a complete meal,u can have it as a breakfast or just a snack.
