Ingredients to make Thalipeeth - A Maharastrian Bread

  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • gram flour 1/4 cup
  • Yellow corn flour /makke ka ata 4 tbsp
  • Jwar flour 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour1/4 cup
  • fenugreek leaves 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • Green chilli 2 finely chopped
  • onion 1 finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder 1tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp for adding to the flour
  • oil for brushing as needed
  • water as needed

How to make Thalipeeth - A Maharastrian Bread

  1. Mix all the flours in a vessel
  2. Add fenugreek leaves coriender leaves onion green chilli
  3. Add oil salt red chilli powder turmeric powder to the flours mix well
  4. Add water and make a normal dough
  5. Take some portion of dough make a medium sized ball
  6. Roll it with the help of your hands and cook it on hot tava on medium flame
  7. While cooking apply oil on the both the sides of bread
  8. Cook till crisp in r Texture serve with pithal or any kind of curry or chutney
