ABOUT Pearl Millet Dosa/Bajra Dosa RECIPE

This is a diabetic friendly nutritious dosa

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups Whole Pearl Millets
  2. 1cup Brown rice
  3. 1/2 cup Urad dal
  4. 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak pearl millet with enough water for 5-6hours.
  2. Drain the water from urad dal and grind it as a fine paste.
  3. Transfer the urad dal batter to a vessel and grind both, the soaked pearl millet and brown rice.
  4. Grind them coarsely
  5. Now mix both the urad dal batter with rice-pearl millet batter, add salt and keep overnight.
  6. After fermentation, give a stir and cook as dosas on both sides by drizzling oil or without oil in a non stick pan.
  7. Serve with chutney or sambar.
