Ingredients to make Eggless Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

  • 1/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Cups Cake Flour
  • 1 cup Castor Sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • tsp salt

How to make Eggless Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. To create a substitute, for every cup of all purpose flour, take out 2 tbsp of the flour and replace it with 2 tbsp of cornstarch. For this recipe, you will take out 4 tbsp of all purpose flour and replace it with 4 tbsp of cornstarch.
  3. Add the boiling water into the cocoa powder. Whisk well to ensure that no lumps remain. Keep aside to bring this to room temperature.
  4. Whisk in the mayonnaise and vanilla essence.
  5. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Slowly pour in the cocoa mixture. Beat for 1 minute till all the ingredients are mixed properly.
  6. Pour this batter into a greased cake tin. Bake for 25 minutes. Once done the cake will start shrinking from the sides.
  7. Let it cool then cut even slices and serve warm.
