  • Dried apricots 1/2 a kg
  • sugar 3/4 th cup
  • Whipped cream or fresh cream or icecream to serve.

How to make The Regal Qubaani Ka Meetha With Whipped Cream

  1. Wash the apricots and soak them in enough water overnight.
  2. Next day, de seed the soaked apricots and cook on medium flame until tender. It takes about 15 to 18 mins.
  3. Now add the sugar and it can be increased or decreased accordingly.
  4. Keep stirring it now and then and as soon as the water dries completely and it has a nice sheen and gloss. Switch off the flame.
  5. Be careful while stirring as it might splash on your hands.
  6. This majestic dessert from Hyderabad doesn't require much of ingredients and yet is a delectable dessert par excellence.
  7. Enjoy this royal looking dessert with your loved ones everytime you want to say that you love them.
  8. Keep it in the freezer to chill for 20 mins and serve it with your favourite toppings. Also don't forget to add the mini almonds that you get from the apricot seeds.

My Tip:

Remove the seeds before cooking it. In this way you don't have to bother about cooling it first and then removing them which takes a lot of time. This is my way of doing it. It makes your work so very easy. If you prefer, just cook the soaked apricots only for 5 to 10 mins for that whole apricot dessert. It will be just tender but not fully mashed. Instead you will have whole apricots in your dessert. This is also a variation in this. Many people make it this way too.
