Not only a sweet dish but a savory dosh also can be a romantic dish if its your loved one's favourite. We panjabis can do romance with makke ki roti and sarso ka sag . I have deconstructed this diah and made sarso ka sag and makke ki roti tacos . So it's a fusion romantic dish .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For tacos sheets- makke ka atta ( corn flour) 2 cup
  2. 1 /4 cup all purpose flour
  3. 1/4 cup coriander leaves finely chopped
  4. salt as per taste
  5. Oil for frying
  6. For sarso ka sag - 100 grm sarso leaves
  7. 100 grm spinach leaves
  8. 2-3 green chillis
  9. 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  10. 100 grm paneer / cottage cheese cubes
  11. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  13. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  14. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  15. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  16. 1 finely chopped tomato for garnishing
  17. 1 finely chopped onion for garnishing
  18. 50 grm granted paneer for garnishing
  19. oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. First for tacos shell- take makke ka atta and APF in a big bowl , add some coriander leaves, salt as per taste and 2 tsp oil . Mix all ingredients well. Make a hard dough by using water and keep this dough aside for about 5 minutes.
  2. Now make small equal size balls with this dough . Take one ball and roll it with roller pin and make a small disc. Repeat this process with remaining balls .
  3. Take a pan , add oil. When oil is getting hot Fry this disc , when disc getting half fried , turn this disc from center by using spatula and give tacos shape .
  4. Repeat this process with remaining discs and our tacos shells are ready . Keep them aside .
  5. Now for sarso ka sag - wash sarso leaves and spinach leaves properly . Take water in a pot when water starts boiling ;add sarso and spinach leaves and cook for 5 - 7 minutes. Turn off the gas . Take out these leaves from water and transfer them into chilled water for 5minutes .
  6. Take a grinder , add boiled leaves and puree it along with green chillis and make fine paste . Keep this aside.
  7. In a pan take 2 tsp oil , add cumin seeds . Then add ginger garlic paste . Saute it for 2 minutes. Now add paneer cubes . Then add turmeric powder,red chilli powder, Garam masala powder, coriander powder and salt as per taste. Saute it for about 3 - 4 minutes. Now add sarso spinach puree and cook for 5 - 7 minutes. Turn off the gas . Sarso ka sag is ready .
  8. For serving- take tacos shell, fill sarso ka sag in it . Garnish with finely chopped tomatoes and onion . Sprinkle some grated paneer . Makke ki roti and sarso ka sag tacos are ready .
