ABOUT Chole ( no onion , no garlic ) RECIPE

For a different taste cooked without onion and garlic.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 grams kabuli chana soaked overnight
  2. 3 large tomatoes grated
  3. 1 tablespoon ginger grated
  4. 4 green chillies chopped finely
  5. 1 tablespoon jeera powder
  6. 1 tablespoon dhania powder
  7. 1 teaspoon salt
  8. 1/2 teaspoon haldi powder
  9. 1/4 teaspoon powdered hing
  10. 4 GREEN CARDAMOM
  11. 6 cloves
  12. 1" piece of cinnamon
  13. 2 Bay Leaves
  14. 2 black cardamom pods
  15. 2 tablespoons mustard oil
  16. 1/2 teaspoon jeera for tempering
  17. 1 bunch dhania patta chopped
  18. Enough water to boil the chana.

Instructions

  1. Boil the soaked chana with salt and haldi in enough water till done.
  2. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add the jeera, hing and whole garam masala.
  3. Add the tomatoes. Cook for sometime.
  4. Add the jeera powder and dhania powder. Cook for two minutes and add the boiled chana along with the water. Mix well.
  5. Let it cook for sometime. Sprinkle the dhania patta and pour into serving dish.
  6. Serve accompanied with puris or bature.
