Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ingredients: for vada..... 1/2 kg urrad dal, 1 small cup rice, salt to taste, 1 spoon ginger chilly paste,1 spoon hing, 1 spoon ajwain, oil for frying. For sambhar...... 1/2 cup tuwar dal 1/2 cup masoor dal, 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped potato, 1chopped lauki, 2 chopped tomatoes, 2 chopped green chillies, 1 tea spoon haldi,1 tea spoon red chilly powder, 2 tea spoon sambhar powder, 1 spoon musturd seeds, 4-5 curry leaves, 4-5 dried red chillies, 2spoon green coriender chopped, 2spoon amchoor, salt to taste, 1 spoon hing, 2 spoon oil. For chutney............. 1 chopped coconut,1 tea spoon uddad dal, 1 spoon chana dal, 1 cup roasted peanuts, 2 spoon green chillies, 2-3 dried red chillies, 1/2 cup yogurt, 3 spoon green coriander, salt to taste,1 tea spoon mustard seeds, 1/2 tea spoon hing, 2-3 curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Recipe. For vada Wash urrad dal and rice and soak over night, then grind the mixture in a smooth paste, check the better consistency, it should not too thick not too water. Keep it aside for 2 hours. After then heat oil in a pan or kadhai. Now add all the remaining ingredients in the vada batter and mix it well. Now pour batter in the vada maker and start making vadas of any sutaible sizes. Begin with the high flame then reduce the frame...wait till the vada turns to golden color. Take out the vada and keep it on the tissue paper...now its ready to serve...
  2. For sambhar..... Wash both the dals and soak for 1 hour, then put it in a pressure cooked, now add all the veggies, salt, haldi and cook for three whistles. Now take a pan add oil, mustard seeds, hing dried red chillies, red chilly powder then add boiled dal in the pan, give it a good boil,now add amchoor and sambhar powder, also add water if require, add coriander leaves and turn off the flame
  3. For chutney........ Wash coconut, coriander leaves and put it into a mixing jar add roasted dal and peanuts, salt and yogurt give it a smooth blend. Now add little water for smooth consistency. Now heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds hing curry leaves and dried chillies, pour this tempering onto chutney... Its ready
