ABOUT Roghni roti RECIPE

A kashmiri roti reciepe. Soft and tasty with the goodness of milk.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup whole wheat flour
  2. 1 cup maida
  3. Milk to knead the dough (preferably lukewarm)
  4. 2 tablespoons of ghee
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 2 teaspoons of sugar
  7. Additional ghee to smear on the roti.

Instructions

  1. Mix together the atta and maida.
  2. Add salt , sugar and make a dough with milk. Do not add water.
  3. Cover with damp cloth and leave aside for 20 minutes.
  4. Male small portions from the dough.
  5. Roll out into round rotis and cook both sides well on a tawa. Cook on medium heat.
  6. Smear ghee on each side and cook till ghee is absorbed.
  7. Serve hot with any curry of your choice.
  8. This roti is also suitable for lunch boxes as it remains soft for a longer time.
