Ingredients to make Whole wheat Tomato Onion FOCACCIA Bread

  • Whole wheat - 3 1/2 cup
  • salt - 1teaspoon
  • sugar - 1tablespoons
  • Active dry yeast - 1tablespoons
  • oil - 1/4 cup
  • Lukewarm water - 1 1/4 cup
  • For the topping
  • tomato large - 1no cut into ring pieces
  • onion - 1 large chopped
  • Olive oil for drizzle
  • freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • Garlic salt to sprinkle
  • Coarsely grounded black pepper- 1teaspoon

How to make Whole wheat Tomato Onion FOCACCIA Bread

  1. Assemble all the dry ingredients .
  2. Combine yeast and sugar in a bowl .
  3. Add water and let it sit undisturbed for 7 - 8 minutes . Yeast will become frothy and bubbly .
  4. Combine whole wheat , salt and oil in a bowl and add activated yeast , then pour in lukewarm water and mix the dough until smooth .
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth for 30 - 35 minutes to rise or until doubled in size .
  6. Preheat the oven 200°c , poke holes in the dough to create indents all over the surface .
  7. Drizzle oil generously .
  8. Feel free to add chopped onions for extra crunch , add coarsely grounded black pepper , coriander leaves , ring tomatoes and sprinkle some garlic salt .
  9. Transfer it to the preheated oven and bake for 20 - 25 minutes .
  10. Enjoy
