Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 liter full fat milk
  2. 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
  3. 75 gms sugar
  4. Chopped almonds for garnishing
  5. 50 gms curd

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk in a thick bottom pan till it reduces to half. Keep stirring so that the fat doesn't separate from the milk
  2. Add the sugar and cardamom powder. Keep stirring till it becomes lukewarm Beat the curd well in a bowl. Add it to the milk and mix it well. Take some earthen pots fill the mixture into it cover the lid or aluminum foil can be used to cover it
  3. Steam it for 10-15 mins
  4. Switch off the flame. Leave it as it is for 2 hrs or till the mishti doi sets nicely.
  5. Shift the earthen pots to the fridge to chill
  6. While serving garnish it with chopped almonds
