ABOUT Gajar Halwa RECIPE

Here is my simple Gajar Halwa presented in a dessert cup plate.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Carrot - 500 gms
  2. Milk - 2 cups
  3. Khoya - 1/4 cup
  4. Cardamom - 4 pods (peeled & crushed)
  5. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  6. Ghee - 1 tbsp
  7. Cashew - 1/4 cup (roughly chopped)
  8. Pistachios - 1/4 cup (roughly chopped)

Instructions

  1. Take a pan.
  2. Add carrots and milk to it.
  3. Cook and keep stirring until milk has evaporated.
  4. Add sugar, khoya and ghee.
  5. Keep stirring until there is no moisture left.
  6. Takes about 1 hour.
  7. Add chopped cashews & cardamom and mix again.
  8. Serve in a dish.
  9. Garnish with pistachios.
