Rajasthani Ghewar

Ingredients to make Rajasthani Ghewar

  • 2 cups maida
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup of water for sugar syrup
  • 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp strands of kesar

How to make Rajasthani Ghewar

  1. In a bowl mix maida and water
  2. make batter like dosa batter
  3. In a flat bottom but deep vessel pour ghee
  4. ghee should be atleast half of the vessel
  5. let ghee become hot
  6. carefully take a tsp of batter and pour
  7. pour it middle of the ghee
  8. repeat it till you get thickness of ghewaar
  9. in other pan make sugar syrup
  10. it should be of one string (ek tar chasni)
  11. now as soon as ghewaar becomes golden
  12. remove carefully with a wire
  13. add cardmom powder and kesar in syrup
  14. pour sugar syrup over it or dip it inside
  15. serve hot

My Tip:

These can be stored for 15 days without sugar syrup, can be served with rabdi
