Orange Ginger Bhut Jolokia Chutney / Jam

Ingredients to make Orange Ginger Bhut Jolokia Chutney / Jam

  • 2 cups - fresh orange juice
  • 2 - smoked bhut jolokia chopped very fine
  • 1 tsp - smoked chili flakes
  • 50 gms - finely chopped ginger
  • 100 gms - sugar
  • 1 tablespoon - salt
  • 1 cup - segments of orange

How to make Orange Ginger Bhut Jolokia Chutney / Jam

  1. In a pan put the strained orange juice, orange segments, sugar and salt. Let it boil till it thickens.
  2. Only when it has thickened add in the ginger, bhut jolokia and the chili flakes. Simmer for a further 10 minutes.
  3. For the caramelized version: Cook on a low flame until the colour changes to gold.
  4. Pour into a sterlised jar. Can be stored for a long time in the fridge
