Sago Dates Kheer

Ingredients to make Sago Dates Kheer

  • 1/2 litre Full cream Milk
  • 1/2 bowl sago /sabudana
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 8 to 10 dates /khajoor
  • 3 to 4 crushed seeds of cardamoms
  • 4 ti 5 dried and crushed rose petals

How to make Sago Dates Kheer

  1. Wash and soak sago at least 1 hour
  2. Wash and soak dates for few minutes to remove the dust and make them soft so that we can discard the seeds easily
  3. Now chop the deseeded dates
  4. Remove the extra water of soaked sago
  5. Boil the milk and simmer it along with sago till mixture thickens little
  6. Add chopped dates and let the milk cook till the dates are soft and mixed up in the milk completely
  7. Add cardmoms seeds and dried petals
  8. Turn Off the flame
  9. Let the milk cool slightly
  10. Then add honey
  11. Serve hot or chilled

My Tip:

Soak sago at least 1 hour for soft and smooth kheer
