Ingredients to make Channa Dal Stuffed Paratha

  • for the dough -
  • 2 cups whole wheat atta or multigrain atta
  • 2 teaspoons ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ajwain
  • water to knead the dough
  • For the stuffing -
  • 1/2 cup Channa dal boiled and mashed
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 green chillies chopped finely
  • Some coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon hing powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • oil to cook the parathas

How to make Channa Dal Stuffed Paratha

  1. Make a soft dough with all the ingredients mentioned under dough. Cover and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add the hing , green chillies and ginger paste.
  3. Now add the mashed Channa dal to the kadhai. Cook well for atleast five minutes.
  4. Remove from heat once it is dry. Add the chopped coriander leaves. Cool to enable stuffing.
  5. Make portions of the dough. Fill with enough stuffing . Seal well.
  6. Roll into round parathas and cook with oil on both sides.
  7. Serve with aloo rassa and pickle.
