Ingredients to make Pad Wali Roti/Layered Roti

  • Whole wheat flour 1 1/2 cup
  • 1tbsp oil
  • water as required
  • ghee 3 tbsp

How to make Pad Wali Roti/Layered Roti

  1. In a bowl mix dough and oil very well.
  2. Add water and knead for 2-3minutes to get a soft dough
  3. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes
  4. Now make equal size balls from the dough
  5. Take two balls on rolling board And roll each balls to a small puri size
  6. Now apply ghee on each side of rolled dough and sprinkle some dry wheat flour
  7. Now stick both dough rounds together
  8. Now roll out thin roti and put on heated flatten / roti tawa.
  9. When you see the bubbles on top, flip the roti and cook the other side of roti. Cook properly on both side.
  10. Place the roti on a plate and tap gently so that the layers separate
  11. Now apply ghee between both the layers and serve hot immediately.

My Tip:

Dough should be well kneaded
