Ingredients to make Shahi Tukda

  • 5 bread slices
  • 750 ml milk
  • 100 Gm sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • few saffron strands soaked in 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 chopped almonds
  • 1/4 pistachio and cashews
  • 3 tbsp ghee for roasting bread

How to make Shahi Tukda

  1. Cut 5 bread slices into 10 pieces remove the sides.
  2. Roast with ghee on both sides till they are golden brown.
  3. keep aside.
  4. Now keep milk in a broad pan and keep boiling till it is reduced to half .
  5. Keep stirring continuously so don't stick to the bottom.
  6. It will reduce to half after 20 minutes. now add sugar and stir
  7. cook for 5 minutes more. add saffron infused milk, cardamom powder, and dry fruits.
  8. Cook for 5 minutes more and switch off the gas .
  9. Dip bread slices in it and remove immediately, otherwise bread can break if you dip for a long time.
  10. Take serving dish and keep all breads which we have dipped in rabdi.
  11. pour rabdi with a spoon on bread slices and garnish with dry fruits.
