Ingredients to make Sheer

  • 100 gm vermicilli
  • 500 ml milk
  • 10 almond
  • 2 tbsp Raisins
  • 5 dates
  • 10 cashewnuts
  • 2 tbsp chironji
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 5 fox nut (makhane)
  • Sliced dried coconut

How to make Sheer

  1. Heat 3/4th of the ghee in the pan add the vermicilli and fry it till it is brown. Strain the vermicilli and keep it aside.
  2. Heat milk in another pan and bring it to a boil while stirring it continously.
  3. Add vermicilli and simmer it till the vermicilli is done. Add the dates to this mixture and cool for a few minutes.
  4. Chop the nuts into small pieces and fry them in ghee.
  5. Add the raisins once the nuts are golden brown and garnish the dish with foxnut and coconut.
  6. Serve hot.
