Lauki Besan Ki Kheer

Ingredients to make Lauki Besan Ki Kheer

  • Milk 1/2 litre
  • Grated Bottle gourd 1/2 cup
  • Gram flour 1/4 cup
  • Sugar 1/4 cup or as required
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped almonds a handful
  • Ghee 1 tablespoon

How to make Lauki Besan Ki Kheer

  1. Dry roast the gram flour and Keep aside.
  2. Take ghee in a kadai. Add the bottle gourd and cook for ten minutes till it's water evaporates and it's almost cooked.
  3. Boil milk in a pan. Add the bottle gourd and cook for 10 minutes till it's fully cooked. Keep stirring in between.
  4. Dissolve the gram flour in little water and add to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes and stir so that it mixes well and doesn't stick to the bottom.
  5. Add sugar, cardamom powder and almonds .mix well.
  6. Simmer for 10 minutes and switch off the flame. The kheer will thicken more on cooling.
  7. Serve it warm or chill it in the fridge and serve.
My Tip: Add sugar as per your taste Dry fruits can be added to the kheer.
