Eggless Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

Ingredients to make Eggless Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

  • for Dough - 1 & 1/2 Cup, Maida/ All Purpose Flour (Spooned and leveled)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon , Salt
  • 6 Teaspoons, Powdered White Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon,Yeast (I used Instant)
  • 1 Teaspoon,Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/2 Cup ,Warm Milk
  • 2 Tablespoon, Butter ,Melted
  • For coating - 3 Teaspoons,Sugar,Powdered
  • 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon Powder

How to make Eggless Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients mentioned under "For Dough" except the butter. Mix everything well and knead to make a soft dough. I did the dough with hands. You can use stand mixer / hand mixer with dough attachment too.
  2. Initially the dough will be slightly sticky. Then add the melted butter. Knead further to get a smooth and soft dough. Cover it with a cling wrap. Keep in a warm place to ferment/ rise. After the dough has doubled in size.
  3. Take the dough on the kitchen counter and punch it down once or twice. Roll it to 1" thick and cut the donuts. Place these donuts on the parchment paper lined on a tray. Place the donuts holes too.
  4. Leave them again to rise. When they proved well, heat oil to fry. Slowly drop the donuts in oil and fry them on medium heat till brown and cooked well. Drain them on a kitchen paper let them cool for a while.
  5. Follow this for donuts holes too. In a mixing bowl,add sugar and cinnamon powder. Toss well to mix it. When the donuts are still warm,roll them in sugar mix and coat them well.
