Badam Ka Halwa

Ingredients to make Badam Ka Halwa

  • 2 cups Badam
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup ghee or more
  • 1/2 cup rawa or semolina
  • 2 cups Milk
  • Saffron soaked in milk
  • Sliced almonds for garnishing

How to make Badam Ka Halwa

  1. grind the badam to coarse in the mortar
  2. In a deep bottom pan, heat ghee and add rawa. on a low flame, cook till light brown. Add add badam
  3. Mix it immediately, then slowly add milk as it pops up, add sugar and cook till the mixture dries and the ghee leaves the pan.
  4. Add saffron and mix it gently.
  5. Remove in a bowl and serve it garnished with sliced almonds.
My Tip: Don't roast on high the flame as the badam and semolina can burn and keep on stirring.
