Double Ka Meetha

Ingredients to make Double Ka Meetha

  • Full cream milk 1 1/2 litres
  • fennel 1 tbsp
  • sugar 400 g
  • 1 pinch of saffron
  • Khoya 150 g
  • Green cardamom powder 2 tsp
  • kewra water 2 tsp
  • Rose water 2 tsp
  • Thick slices of milk bread 8
  • oil to fry bread
  • 4 tablespoon pistachio and almonds

How to make Double Ka Meetha

  1. Heat the milk in a heavy bottomed pan , add fennel, sugar , saffron , khoya , cardamom powder, kewra and rose water. Bring to boil and reduce till it thickens .
  2. Trim the sides of the bread. Fry it in oil until crisp.Keep aside
  3. Place the bread on a plate and pour the Rabri over it . Let it remain for some time till the milk is absorbed by the bread.
  4. Garnish it with pistachios and almonds.
  5. Serve

My Tip:

Try to make it 15 minutes before serving as bread can become soggy and can break
