Spinach Kheer

Ingredients to make Spinach Kheer

  • Milk 1/2 kg
  • Basmati rice 30 gm
  • Blanched and chopped spinach 1 1/2 tbsp
  • sugar 2 tbsp
  • Chopped almond and pistachio 2 tsp
  • Cardamom Powder 1/4 tsp

How to make Spinach Kheer

  1. How to blanch spinach - Remove the veins from spinach leaves
  2. Wash it properly and add it in boiling water.
  3. Now add sugar
  4. Now remove from boiled water and add boiled spinach into chilled water and Chopped finely.
  5. Wash the rice once and soak it in water for 15 minutes.
  6. Now switch on the gas and boil milk in a pot.
  7. Add rice in boiling milk and cook for approx 15-20 minutes on low flame.
  8. Add sugar and dry fruits and let it cook for a while.
  9. Add spinach leaves and mix properly and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
  10. And it is ready. Refrigerate for few hours and enjoy chilled kheer
My Tip: Use fresh spinach for kheer.
