Ingredients to make Kala Gulabjamun

  • Hariyali mawa - 3/4 cup
  • Cottage cheese (paneer) - 1/2 cup
  • Refined flour (maida) - 3 1/2 tbsp
  • Corn flour - 3 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 1tbsp
  • Ghee for frying
  • Silver warq and nuts for garnishing

How to make Kala Gulabjamun

  1. In a bowl grated mawa add paneer ( I used homemade fresh paneer. Mix both well add both flours and knead into a soft dough)
  2. Make ball (about 20-25 ) you may place some chopped nuts and elaichi mixture in centre.
  3. In a deep pan add sugar and 1 and 1/2 cup of water and make syrup. Stir continuously and make one string syrup.
  4. Heat ghee in pan slide the paneer ball into hot ghee take the pan on kitchen to and rotate it slowly till the balls float on ghee. Place the pan back on flame and fry the balls till dark brown on low flame. Remove on kitchen towel.
  5. Add the balls to warm syrup. And serve after few minutes garnished with warq and nuts.
My Tip: You may replace cornflour with maida here.
