Gulkand Gulab Jamun

Ingredients to make Gulkand Gulab Jamun

  • Sugar 900 grams
  • Khoya 500 grams
  • Paneer ( chenna) 60 grams
  • Refined flour 4 tbsp
  • 1 pinch of soda
  • Rose water
  • Gulkand
  • Pistachio 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom 1/2 tsp (powdered)
  • water 2 1/2 cups

How to make Gulkand Gulab Jamun

  1. for the foiling chop pistachio,. place gulkand in one bowl
  2. for the sugar syrup , mix sugar and water and cook till it attains one string consistency. add cardamom and saffron. keep warm
  3. for gulab jamun, mix khoya, refined flour , paneer and baking soda and knead it gently till its soft
  4. make small balls, flatten each ball and add the stuffing . make it in round shape
  5. take ghee in pan, fry gulab jamun on slow flame till golden in colour
  6. remove it and put it in sugar syrup and let it stay in it for 25 min.

My Tip:

Knead the khoya till soft or else it will crumble in ghee . Can add 1 tbsp rawa
