ABOUT Mathura Ke Pede RECIPE

The traditional pede from Mathura, in an easy yet delicious way to tingle the taste buds.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Khoya - 2 cups
  2. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  3. Liquid glucose - 1/4 th tsp
  4. Castor sugar - 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat the khoya in a nonstick pan and keep stirring it.
  2. Cook on a medium flame, for 10 minutes while continuously stirring it, till it changes colour
  3. Keep the cooked khoya aside.
  4. Now boil the sugar with 1/4 th cup of water till it forms a one string consistency syrup.
  5. Now add the liquid glucose into the sugar syrup and give it a mix. Remove from the flame.
  6. Now add the cooked khoya into the sugar syrup and mix it. Transfer it into a bowl and let it cool for sometime.
  7. Now make small pedas out of it and coat with Castor sugar.
