ABOUT Fruit Custard RECIPE

Fruit salad is all time favourite dish. Salads have been in use for centuries in India and were mentioned in Ayurveda too. It is delicious especially when served with chilled home made custard. Even kids who don't eat fruits would love to have this chilled fruit custard.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Fruits of choice like mango, pomegranate, apple, grapes etc
  2. For Custard -
  3. Milk 1 litre
  4. Sugar- 1 cup
  5. Milk powder- 1/4 th cup
  6. Corn starch powder- 1/4th cup
  7. Vanilla essence- 3 drops
  8. Salt- 1tsp
  9. Yellow colour 1 pinch

Instructions

  1. Boil milk
  2. Add milk powder, corn starch to little water and pour it into milk stirring for few minutes
  3. Add vanilla essence and yellow food colour and keep stirring till it reaches a thick consistency .
  4. Keep it in the refrigerator.
  5. In a serving bowl, add mixed fruits and pour this chilled custard. Sprinkle dry roasted nuts and tutti frutti for extra delight.
  6. Enjoy chilled fruit custard
