Crisp Shahi Tukda with yummy rabdi

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sugar 1 cup
  2. Water 1/2 cup
  3. Bread slices 2
  4. Ghee for frying
  5. Milk 1 litre
  6. Chandi varak for decoration
  7. Almonds- 5-6 (for garnishing)
  8. Sugar 1 tablespoon
  9. Kesar 4-5 strands (for garnishing)
  10. Cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Cut the slices of bread with a cookie cutter in star shape.
  2. Soften the bread using milk.
  3. Fry the soaked pieces of bread.
  4. Prepare a sugar syrup with water and double the amount of sugar.
  5. Now put the fried pieces in syrup.
  6. Let the syrup be soaked by bread.
  7. Prepare a Rabri with 1 litre milk.
  8. Keep stirring milk on low flame.
  9. After 45 minutes or so the milk will thicken and become rabdi like in consistency.
  10. Add sugar and cardamom powder.
  11. Serve chilled with Shahi Tukda.
  12. Garnish with Chandi varak and saffron.
