Jalebi Paratha

Ingredients to make Jalebi Paratha

  • Bengal gram flour 1 cup
  • Refine flour 1 cup
  • Carom 1 tsp
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • Finely chopped green chilli 2 tsp
  • Finely chopped ginger 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • mango powder 1 tsp
  • oil as required
  • salt to taste
  • Chat masala 1 tsp

How to make Jalebi Paratha

  1. Make a soft dough with bengal gram flour, refine flour, salt and oil. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  2. For filling, take a frying pan add 2 tsp oil, carom, asafoetida, chopped ginger and chopped green chilli. Stir continuously then add 2 tbsp bengal gram and salt. Now switch off the flame add mango powder and red chilli powder. When it cools, add 2 tsp water and make a paste
  3. Now spread the dough and layer with filling. Then cut into strips but both ends should not be cut.
  4. Now fold all strips.
  5. Now make a round shape like jalebi with strips.
  6. Shallow fry like paratha. Press the parantha. The layers will separate
  7. Sprinkle with chat masala and mango powder
  8. Serve
