Spicy Potato Tikki

Ingredients to make Spicy Potato Tikki

  • 3 to 4 boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 to 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp chat masala
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 cup mint or coriander leaves
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp lime juice

How to make Spicy Potato Tikki

  1. Boil the potatoes, peel and mash them and add grated carrot.
  2. Add red chilli powder,coriander powder,green chillies ,garam masala
  3. Add chat masala,pinch of turmeric,lime juice and salt
  4. Add crushed dry mint leaves or coriander leaves
  5. Add corn flour
  6. Add bread crumbs and mix everything so that all spices are well coated
  7. Now knead it to get a soft dough
  8. Make flat patty
  9. coat with bread crumbs
  10. Take a nonstick pan or griddle. When the pan is hot add few tablespoon oil and place these patties on it and cook until brown from both the sides
  11. Flip and cook on the other side too by adding a tsp oil around the edges of each patty
  12. serve hot with tomato sauce.

Adjust quantity of spices according to your taste.
