ABOUT Shakkarkandi Ke Laddu RECIPE

This recipe is made from mashed sweet potato, coconut, and sugar. My mother used to make them in winters and is our all time favorite sweet. This recipe does not require many ingredients and is very simple to make.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Sweet Potatoes – 2 Cups (boiled and mashed)
  2. Sugar – ¾ Cup (add or less as per your taste)
  3. Grated Coconut – 3 tbsp (for filling) + 1 tbsp (for garnishing)
  4. Green Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
  5. Almonds & Cashews – 2 tbsp (coarsely crushed)
  6. Raisins – 10 to 15
  7. Ghee – ¼ Cup

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a non-sticky pan. Add mashed sweet potatoes and sauté for 12-15 minutes
  2. Add grated coconut, green cardamom powder, almonds & cashews, raisins and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Keep stirring until the mixture comes together as a single mass.
  4. When the mixture is still warm, shape them into small balls.
  5. Put grated coconut in a plate and roll the balls over it.
  6. Place them in the fridge for 10-15 minutes and serve..
