ABOUT Mumbai Pav Bhaji Fondue RECIPE

This is a fusion recipe. Here is the famous Mumbai Pav as savoury fondue

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup onion (finely chopped)
  2. Garlic 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  3. 1 tbsp (finely chopped ginger and chillies )
  4. 1/2 cup (finely chopped capsicum)
  5. 1 cup (finely chopped tomatoes )
  6. 1/2 cup cauliflower (finely chopped)
  7. 2 (boiled potatoes )
  8. 1/4 cup (boiled green peas )
  9. 1 tbsp (lemon juice)
  10. 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  11. 1 tbsp Red chilli garlic paste
  12. 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  13. Salt as per taste
  14. 2 tbsp Pav bhaji masala
  15. 2 tbsp Butter
  16. 2 tbsp Oil
  17. 2 Cheese cubes
  18. 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese or Mozzarella
  19. 2 tbsp Coriander
  20. 6 Ladi Pav
  21. Soup sticks
  22. 2 tbsp Olive oil
  23. 1 tsp Black pepper powder

Instructions

  1. In a pan heat butter and oil add finely chopped garlic, chilli ginger and onions cook till all turns to golden brown colour.
  2. Add chopped capsicum, chopped cauliflower and boiled green peas and saute the vegetables. Stir.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, pav bhaji masala and red chilli paste. Cook till all vegetables cook well and oil starts coming out
  4. Add boiled potatoes, water, and lemon juice. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Leave it to cool. Grind the mixture. strain it with the soup strainer if required.
  6. Add both the cheese and finely chopped coriander and cook until the cheese melts.
  7. Cut the pav into bite size pieces. Add olive oil and black pepper powder bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 3 minutes.
  8. Serve the hot with pav bhaji fondue in fondue bowl. Light up the lamp and serve with tossed pav and soup sticks.
