ABOUT Masala Milk Powder RECIPE

This is a healthy and nutritious masala powder full of the goodness of nuts and spices which can be added to milk every day and also to kheer, rabdi, basundi etc.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Cashews-1cup
  2. Almonds-1 cup
  3. Magajtari/melon seeds -1cup
  4. Pista-1/2 cup
  5. Cardamom powder-2 tsp/15 to 20 cardamoms
  6. Jaiphal-1/2 tsp
  7. Black pepper-1 tbsp
  8. Kesar-20 to 25 strands

Instructions

  1. First prepare all the ingredients and if you keep your dryfruits in fridge let them come to room temperature.
  2. Now roast all dry fruits till they become crisp and slightly brown.
  3. Remove these to a plate to cool and add kesar while the kadai is hot. Just roast for 10 seconds and take it in a bowl.
  4. Now take cardamom,jaiphal,black pepper in mixer jar to grind.
  5. If you have powdered cardamom,you can add directly.Grate jaiphal.
  6. Now take the roasted dryfruits and grind in mixer.Do not overgrind as the nuts will release oil.
  7. Now you can sieve this mix if you want fine powder or fill it as it is in sterilised glass jar .
  8. You can crush the big pieces once again till you get a nice fine powder.And can add some kesar strands also.We have already crushed some kesar with the dry fruits.
  9. Now when you wish to prepare masala milk you can boil milk with sugar and add 1 big spoon of this masala powder and boil for 5 minutes so that the spices and kesar will infuse their flavours in milk. And your healthy masala milk is ready
