it is very tasty dessert which made from leftover Rice kheer and tastes like gulab jamun.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Rice kheer -1 cup
  2. Paneer - 1 /2 cup
  3. Maida -2 teaspoon
  4. Cardamom - 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Oil or ghee - 2 tablespoon
  6. Sugar -2 cup
  7. Water - 1 1/2 cup
  8. Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. First, make the kheer thicker.
  2. When it becomes thick add paneer, maida and 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder in it.
  3. Now mix it well
  4. There should be no lumps in it.
  5. Make 8 -10 equal size balls
  6. Cover the balls with a cloth and keep aside.
  7. Take sugar in a pan and add water.
  8. Keep the pan on gas on a medium flame and stir till sugar is dissolved.
  9. Cook the syrup on a low flame till the syrup become slightly sticky.
  10. Now add lemon juice and cardamom in it and stir
  11. Now turn off the gas
  12. Heat the appe mould on a medium flame and grease with oil or ghee.
  13. Cook the ball for 5 minutes on each side on medium heat until they are golden brown.(turn each ball upside down using a wooden stick so as to cook both the sides)
  14. Now appe ball is ready .
  15. Place the appe balls in the hot sugar syrup.
  16. Heating helps the appe ball to absorb the syrup and become soft.
  17. Allow them to rest for 6-7 hours, serve manmadhuri at room temperature or hot as a dessert.
