One of awesome combination for your sweet tooth. I made this Gulab Jamun for fast (vrat). Normally Gulab jamun made from khoya maida milk powder or bread. For vrat i used farali flour with khoya and milk powder. Farali flour is ready packet from market (mix Flour of rajgara bhagar singhada and sabudana)

Rabdi Gulab Jamun

Ingredients to make Rabdi Gulab Jamun

  • For Jamun
  • Fresh khoya 1 and 1/2 cup
  • Milk powder 2 tbs
  • Farali flour 2/3 tbs
  • Milk 2 + 2
  • Baking powder 1/4 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/4 tsp
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Oil or Ghee for deep fry
  • For syrap
  • Rose extract 1 tsp
  • Sugar 3 cup
  • Water 6 cup
  • Honey 1 tbs
  • Pistachio chopped 10/12
  • Chilled Rabdi 500 gm (which I prepared before)

How to make Rabdi Gulab Jamun

  1. Take a plate add milk powder and baking soda baking powder and mix well.
  2. Take a bowl add farali flour and 2 tbs milk mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Take another big bowl add khoya then add both mixture of milk powder and flour mixture.
  4. Now start kneeding the mixture add cardamom powder in it.
  5. If require use extra 2 tbs milk and make soft dough.
  6. Cover the dough with muslin cloth and leave for 10 minutes.
  7. Now make small balls from the mixture and deepfry them in hot oil or Ghee as you like till golden brown in colour.
  8. Now for syrap
  9. Take a Kadai add water and bring it boiling.
  10. Now this stage add sugar in it and keep boiling for 10/15 minutes.
  11. Now add 1 tbs honey and rose extract mix well.
  12. Now add Gulab jamun into the syrap and keep boiling for 5 minutes.
  13. Now remove from the heat and lid them and leave for rest
  14. Cool them at room temperature for serving.
  15. For Serving
  16. Take a serving bowl or plate add 2 ladle of chilled rabdi and now add 2 or 3 Gulab jamun in it.
  17. Sprinkle some Pistachio and serve.
My Tip: I used rabdi which i already prepared.You can use any. If your jamun start tearing while frying add some milk powder in.
