Assorted Doughnuts

Ingredients to make Assorted Doughnuts

  • 6 tbsp water
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 cups refined flour
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp dry yeast
  • oil for frying
  • Caster sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle
  • 3 tbsp fruit jam
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

How to make Assorted Doughnuts

  1. Mix all the ingredients together except oil and things to sprinkle and fill. Make a soft dough
  2. Keep it to rise for 1 hr
  3. Knock the dough on a floured surface and knead it
  4. Separate into 2 parts
  5. Make small balls and flatten them
  6. With a cookie cutter make a circle and cut a small circle in the centre
  7. Deep fry on slow flame till golden and sprinkle caster sugar and cinnamon
  8. With the 2nd half make small balls and rest them for 10 minutes
  9. Deep fry the doughnuts
  10. On a slow flame whisk jam and lemon juice till liquidy.
  11. Fill in a piping bag and prick the doughnuts and fill it in it
  12. Serve

My Tip:

Can make flat circles and fry. You may fill them with jam. Make small balls as so that they are not raw from inside
