Methi Matar Malai

Ingredients to make Methi Matar Malai

  • 1 bunch chopped fresh methi (fenugreek leaves)
  • 1 cup boiled green peas
  • 2 tbsp of cashew nuts
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 2 tsp chilli garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp malai
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp oil/buter/ghee
  • 1/2 tsp jeera

How to make Methi Matar Malai

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan
  2. Add jeera
  3. Add chilli garlic paste and saute
  4. Soak cashew nuts in warm water for 2-3 hours. Make a paste. Add this paste
  5. Mix properly and cook for 3-4 minutes
  6. Add methi leaves and amchur
  7. Mix and cover it. Cook for sometime
  8. Add boiled green peas
  9. Add salt and sugar
  10. Mix well and cook for 5 more minutes
  11. Methi matar malai is ready
My Tip: Using fresh peas will give better taste to this dish
