Saunf ka sharbat/squash

Ingredients to make Saunf ka sharbat/squash

  • Saunf/fennel seeds -3/4th cup
  • Sugar-1 kg
  • Water-2 glasses
  • Cardamom powder-2 tsp
  • Mint leaves-15 to 20

How to make Saunf ka sharbat/squash

  1. Take sugar and water in a vessel and cook till sugar dissolves.We don't want any string consistency.The syrup becomes sticky.Put off the gas.
  2. Grind saunf in mixer and add to this syrup.Also add cardamom powder and mint leaves cut into small pieces.
  3. Now let this cool down till 5 to 6 hours.In this duration the flavours of mint and cardamom will infuse in the syrup.
  4. Then filter this syrup with sieve and fill in clean and sterile bottles.
  5. At the time of serving pour 1/4 th part of squash and top it with water.Your refreshing saunf and mint cooler is ready..
My Tip: You can add lemon juice also in this squash.
