Ingredients to make Masala Capsicum With Boiled Potatoes

  • capsicum 2
  • potatoes boiled 4
  • onion 1
  • garlic 6 cloves
  • ginger 1 inch piece
  • Green chilli 2
  • tomatoes 5
  • jeera 1 teaspoon
  • Black cardamom 1
  • Green cardamom 4
  • cloves 5
  • Black pepper 5
  • bay leaves 2
  • Kashmiri red chilli 2
  • salt according to taste
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  • water 1/2 cup
  • ghee 2 tablespoon
  • coriander for garnishing

How to make Masala Capsicum With Boiled Potatoes

  1. First of all, peel the boil potatoes, and mash them. Thinly slice the capsicum. Make a puree of ginger, garlic, onion ,green and Kashmiri red chillies. Puree the tomatoes
  2. Now add ghee to a kadahi and when it's hot then add all dry khadi masalas like bay leaves, black pepper, jeera, and both cardamons. Add onion garlic puree. Fry this till the ghee comes out. After this add tomato puree and cook it. When ghee leaves the masala it means y our masala is ready.
  3. Now add turmeric powder and garam masala.
  4. Now put the capsicum in this masala and cook it for 7 mintues.
  5. Now add some water if needed. And add salt and potatoes. Fry potatoes for some time in this masala. Then add the water.
  6. Cook with lid for 8 minutes. Your dish is ready.
  7. Garnish with coriander. Serve with poori or Parantha.

My Tip:

Water must be added carefully. it will not taste good. If you wish to remove khada masalas after cooking you can do it.
