Shakarkand ki Rasmalai (Sweet potatoes Sweet Dish)

Ingredients to make Shakarkand ki Rasmalai (Sweet potatoes Sweet Dish)

  • 250 gm sweet potatoes (Shakarkand) (clean with water)
  • 4-5 tea spoon arrow root powder (as binding agent)
  • 1 tea spoon full clarified butter
  • 500 ml cream milk
  • 4-5 green cardamom’s powder
  • 5-6 socked in water and finely chopped almond slices
  • 25 gm Raisins
  • 1 pinch of nut meg powder
  • 75 gm sugar powder
  • 200 gm -Nestle Milk made (sweetened condensed milk)

How to make Shakarkand ki Rasmalai (Sweet potatoes Sweet Dish)

  1. First clean and dry the sweet potatoes and then boiled in cooker and take out from pressure cooker.
  2. To keep aside for 5 min and then peeled off and smash into fine lump.
  3. Then add arrow root powder into it. Then 2 tea spoon sugar powder mixed this properly and make flat round shape pieces and shallow fry this into clarified butter in frying pan.
  4. Boiled the milk and then add reaming sugar powder, Nestle Milk made, chopped almond slices, cardamom’s powder, nut meg powder and raisins. (you may add kaju, pista or any other dry fruit as you wish)
  5. Keep aside for 10-15 min to cool and keep it into refrigerator for chill.
  6. After 1-2 hours take out this milk and then add above sweet potato pieces and serve.
  7. This sweet dish will defiantly mouth watering for all.
My Tip: You should cook sweet potato softly don’t be over cooked.
