Ingredients to make Shrikhand And Puri

  • Fresh malai Chakka – ½ kg
  • sugar – ½ kg
  • Green cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Milk – 1 ½ cup
  • kesar – 1 pinch optional
  • cashew– Badam slices – 2 teaspoon for decoration
  • For Puri -
  • wheat flour – ½ kg
  • oil for frying
  • salt to taste

How to make Shrikhand And Puri

  1. Puri -Take wheat flour, salt and water and make a tight dough then add some oil (for smooth dough) and mix it well.
  2. Pinch a small lump of dough and make a round shaped puri.
  3. Heat oil in a karahi and deep fry puri till golden on both sides.
  4. For shrikhand, hang curd in a muslin cloth for 4-5 hours till all the water drips out and you get a very dry curd.
  5. Transfer hung curd to a deep bowl. Add milk and whisk till creamy and smooth. Add sugar. Add cardamom and kesar. Chill in refrigerator.
  6. Garnish with almond and cashew slices and serve with hot puri.
