Seviyan kheer/Vermicelli payasam

Ingredients to make Seviyan kheer/Vermicelli payasam

  • Seviyan/Vermicelli - 100 gm
  • Full cream Milk - 1/2 ltr
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Chopped Almonds and Cashews - 2 tbsp
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Saffron - a pinch
  • Cardamom powder - A pinch

How to make Seviyan kheer/Vermicelli payasam

  1. Heat Ghee in a pan.
  2. Roast Seviyan in it for 2 minutes and keep aside.
  3. Fry some Raisins and keep aside.
  4. Soak some Saffron in milk.
  5. Boil Milk on low flame for 10 minutes.
  6. Add Roasted Seviyan in Milk.
  7. Stir continuous and cook on low flame.
  8. Add Cardamom powder and Saffron milk.
  9. Add chopped Cashews and Almonds.
  10. Cook Seviyan till it become s9ft and starts thickening.
  11. Add Sugar and cook again for 2 minutes.
  12. Add fried Raisins.
  13. Remove from fire.
  14. Put in serving bowl.
  15. Garnish with chopped Dry fruits.
