Capsicum Masala

Ingredients to make Capsicum Masala

  • 2 large capsicum
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 6-7 cloves garlic
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 spoon urad dal
  • 1 spoon chana dal
  • 1 spoon cumin powder
  • 1 spoon garam masala
  • 2 spoon oil
  • chilly powder according to taste
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 spoon turmeric powder
  • coriander leaves chopped to garnish

How to make Capsicum Masala

  1. Chop capsicum into thin slices after washing neatly.
  2. Roast chana dal and urad dal , adding 1 spoon oil.
  3. Make a paste of Tomato, Urad dal, Chana Dal, ginger and garlic by blending in a mixer.
  4. Add oil to a pan, shallow fry slices of Capsicum for 5 minutes. In the remaining oil add chilli powder and cumin seeds
  5. Next add chopped onion and saute till golden brown. Add the paste and saute for 5-10 minutes. Add 1 cup of water , turmeric powder , dry masala, sliced capsicum and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Add chopped coriander leaves to garnish. Serve with naans, parathas and pulkas
