Ingredients to make Godham Pazham Ada(Wheat Banana Ada)

  • banana 1 kg (I used small banana)
  • jaggery I big Cup of jaggery (melt it adding water, filter and keep aside)
  • Water to melt jaggery
  • cardamom powder 1 tbsp
  • wheat flour 2 cup
  • ghee- 2 tbsp
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • coconut slice 1 cup
  • salt as per your taste
  • banana Leaf for preparing ada

How to make Godham Pazham Ada(Wheat Banana Ada)

  1. Mash banana nicely and set aside.
  2. Heat non stick pan add ghee and cook mashed banana mixing continuously. Please note this process is done to soften banana.
  3. Now take jaggery in a pan and water and melt and make a syrup
  4. Take big pot add wheat flour, grated coconut,coconut slice,cardamom powder,salt, cooked banana and jaggery syrup mix all these ingredients nicely and make a soft dough.
  5. Take banana leaf washed properly and wiped dry
  6. Cut the banana leaves in small palm size pieces
  7. Take small piece of banana leaves and spread this batter nicely,fold the banana and set it in plate.
  8. Heat idli cooker and keep it ready for steaming same like how we do it for idli
  9. Place all the ada pieces in idli cooker and steam it for 15 mins
  10. Serve hot or cold with tea or coffee
  11. Enjoy delicious godham pazham ada
