Paneer Fish Cake with Apple chutney

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For the paneer fish cake:
  2. salmon fish (blanched) - 150 gms
  3. fresh paneer - 55 gms
  4. hung curds - 50 gms
  5. onion chopped - 1 medium
  6. chickpea paste (powder) - 60 gm
  7. kasoori methi - 1 tbsp
  8. green chilies - 2
  9. cumin seeds powder - 1/2 tsp
  10. coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. black pepper (crushed) - 1/2 tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. For the apple chutney:
  14. chopped apple - 150 gms
  15. dates - 30 gms
  16. raisins - 20 gms
  17. fennel seeds (rosted) - 1 tsp
  18. jaggery - 1 tsp
  19. red chili powder - 1/4 tsp
  20. Salt - a Pinch

Instructions

  1. Clean the fish, wash it/blanch it for 4 to 5 minutes in boiled water.
  2. Smash the fish, add in paneer, hung curd, chopped onion, chickpea paste, all masalas, black pepper, salt and mix together. Make round of 3 to 4 cm.
  3. Take a pan, heat some oil and shallow fry.
  4. For the chutney: Take all the ingredients & boil them 8 to 10 minutes, keep aside to cool, now make a fine paste.
  5. Serve hot with a drizzle of the chutney.
