Ingredients to make Paneer Fish Cake with Apple chutney

  • For the paneer fish cake:
  • salmon fish (blanched) - 150 gms
  • fresh paneer - 55 gms
  • hung curds - 50 gms
  • onion chopped - 1 medium
  • chickpea paste (powder) - 60 gm
  • kasoori methi - 1 tbsp
  • green chilies - 2
  • cumin seeds powder - 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • black pepper (crushed) - 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • For the apple chutney:
  • chopped apple - 150 gms
  • dates - 30 gms
  • raisins - 20 gms
  • fennel seeds (rosted) - 1 tsp
  • jaggery - 1 tsp
  • red chili powder - 1/4 tsp
  • salt - a Pinch

How to make Paneer Fish Cake with Apple chutney

  1. Clean the fish, wash it/blanch it for 4 to 5 minutes in boiled water.
  2. Smash the fish, add in paneer, hung curd, chopped onion, chickpea paste, all masalas, black pepper, salt and mix together. Make round of 3 to 4 cm.
  3. Take a pan, heat some oil and shallow fry.
  4. For the chutney: Take all the ingredients & boil them 8 to 10 minutes, keep aside to cool, now make a fine paste.
  5. Serve hot with a drizzle of the chutney.
