Banana Chips (Home made)

Ingredients to make Banana Chips (Home made)

  • Raw banana/Plantain
  • oil for frying
  • rock salt 1 tbsp
  • water 1/2 cup
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp optional

How to make Banana Chips (Home made)

  1. Mix rock salt in water and set aside
  2. Heat oil. Once the oil is hot, grate banana using chips grater straight away in the oil, add turmeric and give a nice mix.
  3. Fry chips mixing slowly in medium flame.
  4. Once chips started getting crispy you can hear the sound while frying banana, that is the time you need to pour 1/2 teaspoon of salt water and mix it once again for 5 mins
  5. Remove from fire and allow it to cool down
  6. Once it comes to room temperature, place it in air tight container

My Tip:

If you keep any crunchy items inside the fridge it maintains the crunch of your snacks and doesn't get soggy. Please note it has to be placed in airtight container before placing in fridge
