Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For dhokla batter -
  2. Rice flour 1/3 cup
  3. Gram flour 1 cup
  4. Semolina 1/4 cup
  5. Curd 1 cup
  6. Green Peas (boiled) 1 cup
  7. Carrot 2 ( shredded)
  8. Salt according to taste
  9. Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  10. sugar 2 teaspoon
  11. Chat masala 1 Teaspoon
  12. Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
  13. Eno 2 pouches
  14. For Tadka -
  15. Oil 2 teaspoon
  16. Mustard seeds 2 teaspoon
  17. Green chilli 2
  18. Asafoetida 1/3 teaspoon
  19. For garnishing -
  20. Coriander leaves
  21. Sugar 1 teaspoon (dissolved in 3 spoon water)

Instructions

  1. Whisk the curd and add gram, rice flour and semolina. Add sugar, salt, chat masala, lemon juice, and black pepper powder. Leave this batter for 15 minutes to rest.
  2. After 15 mintues add carrot, and boiled peas. Now put water in a steamer.
  3. Add fruit salt to batter mix properly.And without any delay put this batter into a greased plate.When water starts boiling, put the dhokla batter plate in the steamer.
  4. After 10 mintues check the dhokla with knife. If knife comes out clean then it means dhokla is ready.
  5. Now leave it for cooling.
  6. Now heat the oil and add tadka ingredients in oil. When ingredients are roasted then add sugar syrup in tadka pan and pour tadka over the dhokla.
  7. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  8. Dhokla is ready .Serve with date tamarind chutney.
