Schezwan Seviyan

Ingredients to make Schezwan Seviyan

  • 100 gm Seviyan ( Whole wheat )
  • 3 cups water
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon green chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon dark soya sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 2 cups assorted vegetables like onions, capsicum, cabbage, carrots, sliced
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves

How to make Schezwan Seviyan

  1. Boil the water after adding salt and half teaspoon of black pepper powder
  2. Add in all sauces and the vinegar.
  3. Add in the seviyan and let it boil on full flame.
  4. Let it boil till the water starts getting absorbed by the vermicelli.
  5. Cover and cook on slow flame for a couple of minutes.
  6. They will be almost cooked.
  7. Let's get the vegetables ready now.
  8. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in another pan and toss in the garlic.
  9. Let it change color slightly.
  10. Put the flame on full and add in the vegetables.
  11. Toss them just for a couple of minutes.
  12. Add salt and remaining black pepper.
  13. Mix them up in the ready Seviyan.
  14. Mix up well and cook for a minute on slow flame
  15. Shut off the gas and let it stand covered for a few minutes before serving.
