Kasuri Methi Curd Chicken

Ingredients to make Kasuri Methi Curd Chicken

  • chicken - 300-400 gms
  • curd - 3 tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • turmeric - ½ tsp
  • Kashmiri chilli Powder - 2 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1 small stick
  • cardamom - 2
  • Garam masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi - 2 tsp
  • green chilly - 2 whole
  • salt to taste
  • oil - 2 tbsp

How to make Kasuri Methi Curd Chicken

  1. Marinate the chicken with 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, salt and turmeric powder. The longer marination the better.
  2. Take the curd in a bowl and beat with a help of a spoon. Add the red chilly powder and mix well. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in pan. Add the marinated chicken in batches and fry for 5-10 mins.
  4. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same oil add the cardamom, cinnamon and remaining ginger garlic paste and fry for about 2 mins. Add the curd and continue to cook for 2-3 mins.
  6. Add the fried chicken, kasuri methi, garam masala powder, green chillies and mix well.
  7. Cover the pan and cook in medium heat for 10-15 mins and take off the heat.
